EU (European Union) Customs will be enforcing new regulations which will require information be sent via EDI to the airlines prior to departure. This will go into effect on 12/31/10 at 12:01 am

FWB message is in CargoImp format. The FWB contains all the MAWB details.

FHL message is in CargoImp format. The FHL contains all of the HAWB details .

Business Requirements

We will need to send Descartes FWB and FHL messages which will contain all of the required information as noted below.

The New York office is the only office that will be required to do this.

It will only need to be done for airlines that we book directly with and are destined to or trans-shipping through an EU location.

It is also required to send an HTS number, we need to have an area in which this can be entered and transmitted.

The operators should be able to tell the system to transmit and the information should be sent instantly.

Transmission should be at the master level, so any shipments in a consolidation will be transmitted together.

Message formats have already been forwarded.

Descartes advised that the airlines do not reply to FWB / FHL messages confirming receipt. However, they will reply if any errors are received. If we receive an FNA message in response to an FWB /FHL message, the system should email to operator that transmitted the FWB / FHL message.

Admin

We should add a specified or separate message details sections (same as we have in admin > client application admin > TMS tab, but it should not interfere with this tab or be combined with this tab) to the current EUAN Admin.
