Info

  • mantis: 2652 (Acc Misc) Adding a history or date range to exchange rates

Requirements and Solutions

  • Task type: Change.
  • Where: Currencies and Exchange Rates.
  • What: Adding a history of date range to exchange rates.

Date Range

  • Date Range specifies the time frame when the certain exchange rate was valid:
    • Valid From - start date.
    • Valid To - end date.

Functionality

  • System should give to user the ability to enter new and missed exchange rates.
  • System should display history of exchange rates together with the date ranges of their validity.
    • Need to add two columns on the Exchange Rates History Tab for displaying of start date and end date of each exchange rate.
  • The date when the new exchange rate is or was entered should be the end date for the current exchange rate. The start date should be the following day or day after this is updated.
  • Clicking the save button on Exchange Rates Tab should make record to history, even if no change is made to the actual exchange rate.
    • They intend to update the exchange rates weekly and they want it to show as updated once saved even if it has not changed from the previous rate.

Look And Feel

  • On the Exchange Rates History Tab, in order to make room for two extra columns, can abbreviate Currency to Curr.
  • By the request of MO, the currency abbreviation (i.e. USD) in these columns should be centered to make it easier to read.
