[edit] Requirements and Solutions
- This validation feature is intended only for Ocean shipments.
- It lies in receiving of confirm that an original house bill of lading is required for CT (individual or belonging to Master).
[edit] Functionality
At the first time of ExpTab editing:
- 1) direct in the CT record
OR - 2) through the Master Details Tab
system should show validation message: Please confirm if an original house bill of lading is required? Y/N
- Result of confirmation should be recorded in the CT Update log.
In Master case, there needs to be some sort of a way for the system to know which CT has the original house bill of lading required set to yes and which CT does not.
- IE - something like the generating PDF for grouped CT.
In accordance with the confirmation the system should perform the next:
- If user clicks Yes, then system should:
- Update the CT_bo#Original_House_Bill_Yes_No to Yes.
- Perform Lock actions to block CT for certain updates.
- If user clicks No, then system should:
- Update the CT_bo#Original_House_Bill_Yes_No to No.
- Provide that CT can still be updated as usual.

- Not allow an operator to enter Import Ref (a.k.a. GenTab.B) on the GenTab of CT.
- Not allow any of the fields on the ImpTab to be updated.
- Not allow certain import documents to be generated until the record is unlocked:
[edit] Unlock actions
Unlock actions should start only if CT_bo#Original_BL_Required_Yes_No is clicked to 'Yes':
- Send notification for the group of Jaguar Users who have the permission to unlock the locked fields and reports:
- Special access rights for unlock confirmation can be set as option in the Jaguar User profile.
- Notify Super Ops/Management users somehow about an OHBL being issued.
- IE - something like the Credit Note feature?
- User with permission to confirmation of unlocking should be able to do it.
- IE - button "Unlock" next to Original House Bill radio button.
- Confirm details (user, date, subject) should be recorded in the CT Update log.
- After the confirm of unlocking system should unlock all locked objects for all users.
- For "unlocked" CTs that still have the CT_bo#Original_BL_Required_Yes_No set to 'Yes' is needed the reminder message, each time user goes to generate any import documents.
- IE - "An original house bill of lading is required for release and delivery of cargo."
- For "unlocked" CTs that still have the CT_bo#Original_BL_Required_Yes_No set to 'Yes' is needed the reminder message, each time user goes to generate any import documents.
