[edit] Requirements and Solutions
We know that currently when changing Mode Of Transport on Gen Tab (except Undefined) to another MOT that is different from Authorized MOT then system shows warning message "Mode of Transport is different from Authorized MOT, this MOT will be saved after you select "save"" [OK].
But actually CT is saved without clicking on the "save" button. Therefore suggested to change the message and there are next possible ways for this:
- Primitive
- Remove this message entirely. Saving of MOT fields in CT would performed at once after selecting on the drop down menu and without any confirmation.
- Simple
- Remove second part of message and leave the "OK" button. In this case the message only informs about difference between MOT fields.
- Authorized MOT becames a “read-only copy” of the Mode Of Transport that selected on the drop down menu.
- Saving of CT should performed immediately after closing the warning message window.
- Complex
- Leave text of message the same. But add the "Cancel" button in order to be able to cancel of MOT change.
- When Jaguar User clicks "OK" then Authorized MOT should change to that new MOT set by Jaguar operator. Saving of CT still should not performed.
In other words, displaying of new selected MOT in Authorized MOT don't require save the CT. But saving of new Authorized MOT require save the CT.- If user leaves the CT without clicking of "save" then system should show the "Confirm Shipment Save" window.
- When Jaguar User clicks "Cancel" then all MOT updates is cancelled. Saving of CT should not performed.
NOTE: Each update of Authorized MOT including the initial authorization on the client side should be recorded in CT Update Log.
