Jaguar as a company:

  • needs a strategy for infrastructure (Buy PCs vs Lease PCs vs "go Cloud")
  • evaluate cloud solutions as "cloud" becomes very popular

This needs to be done in 1-2 month time frame.

Recommendation needs to be presented to Simon.

Pilot should be conducted if necessary (moving selected user group into cloud).

Should be done in coordination/participation of MT vendor.

  • Paul/Michael conducted research comparing costs of Buy vs Lease vs some cloud solutions. See attachments in mantis 3000. This could be re-used.
  • Rackspace recommended desktone.com solution. I suggest to consider that as an option.
