Mantis
Summary
- CT2 Weather Widget is aimed for display of weather forecast according to its own settings.
- Weather Widget is placed on the dashboard of CT2 homepage.
- Weather Widget is visible for Jaguar Users which have the checked "Weather" checkbox in "Edit Jaguar User" window. See Figure 1.
Functionality Overview
CT2 Weather Widget gets weather data from The Weather Channel. See Figure 2.
The Widget displays the following information:
- Name of selected city (in the header)
- Settings link
- Current conditions: weather icon, current temperature, "feels like" temperature, summary.
- Wind details. Text line that contains values of direction and speed of wind. Example: "Winds NE at 12mph".
- Weather forecast for current day and for the three next days: Week day, Date, weather icon, Hi/Lo temperature, Chance of Precip (in %).
Settings
User can open the "Weather Settings" window by clicking of "Settings" link on the top right corner of the Widget.
User can set next parameters of Weather Widget (see Figure 3):
- City:
- Widget: Searchbox.
- Example: "New York, NY", "London, United Kingdom" etc.
- Temperature unit:
- Widget: Radiogroup.
- Possible Values: °F - degree Fahrenheit, °C - degree Celsius.
