An import reference number is a unique, consecutive number assigned by an import operator at the time they go to update or create documentation for an already existing export CT record. This too will always include a 2 letter code to define the MOT.
There are 2, 2 letter codes that apply for import shipments. AI - for air import SI - for sea (aka ocean) import
